MGD INNOVATION TOUR

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on the Malmö Generate District Innovation Tour at Summer Block Party 2026!

What an incredible turnout it was. After meeting up at the starting point, our brilliant guide Jakob led us across Klaffbron and into the heart of the innovation district. Along the way, we visited several organizations and met the people helping shape the future of Malmö.

We gained insights from inspiring entrepreneurs – ranging from sustainable, forward-thinking startups to one of Malmö’s very own unicorn company 🦄 We also heard perspectives from researchers, members of the business community, membership-driven organisations and many others who together form Malmö’s innovation ecosystem.

Over the course of two packed hours filled with conversations, questions and new impressions, we explored the area and eventually returned to where we started, but somehow we were in a different place. We left with fresh perspectives, new ideas, valuable insights and a few important reminders about the challenges that lie ahead.

And perhaps best of all – we stayed dry the entire tour ☀️
